Internationally renowned English pianist Joanna MacGregor is highly innovative and creative. Not afraid of a new challenge, her experience in the world of chamber music is wide and she has premiered many landmark compositions. MacGregor recently re-worked Bach’s incomplete work The Art of Fugue for orchestra and jazz musicians.
This afternoon she performs the monumental Goldberg Variations composed by Bach for Goldberg to play to cure the insomnia of Count Kaiserling, the former Russian ambassador to the electoral court of Saxony.
