BBC SSO Afternoon Performance II - Schumann at 200

Carl Goldmark’s overture, written in the sunny key of A major, is full of the joys of Spring. Christoph König and the BBC SSO are joined by American-born Alisa Weilerstein for Schumann’s passionately romantic cello concerto and the afternoon ends with Tchaikovsky’s precocious First Symphony, ‘Winter Daydreams’.

Tea and Symphony

Join us for a delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches followed by a selection of cakes, as well as unlimited tea or coffee, for just £6.45 from 12.30pm at any of our Afternoon Performance or Discovering Music events. Served in the Candleriggs Bar at City Halls, spaces will be in high demand so be sure to pre-book when you book your concert tickets at the Box Office.
