Saturday 20th February 2010, 7.30pm

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Main Auditorium

The legendary Maestro Neeme Järvi conducts two tragic tales of doomed love. Follow the plaintive cor anglais solo of Melisande as it weaves through Sibelius’ haunting and melancholic textures. And those who heard Henk de Vlieger’s epic orchestral version of Wagner’s Ring two Seasons ago will eagerly anticipate Tristan and Isolde: An Orchestral Passion, an incredible opera compressed to the length of a symphony without losing any of its sumptuously emotional impact.

6.45pm Pre-concert talk with Elita Bungard (RSNO Violin)
